Our Vision

The higher purpose of the JT Omotowa Foundation is to promote education, people policies, ideas and long-term community development goals that promote the core values of the life of Late Chief Joseph Tolorunleke Omotowa.

The legacy of late Chief J. T. Omotowa is premised on the community development areas listed below. In partnership with State, Federal Governments and private development partners, these are expected to improve town planning (with electronic description with ample illustration and video documentary) and better coordination of resources to actualise the town’s development.  


The purpose of the JT Omotowa Foundation is to promote education, innovation and ideas, all towards the goal of long-term community development that promote the core values of the life of Late Chief Joseph Tolorunleke Omotowa.


The legacy of late Chief J. T. Omotowa is in community development. At a minimum, community development and advancement requires an accurate understanding and acknowledgement of:


  1. Town's history – founding; boundary coordinates; land ownership and management; town layout and administration; previous development mandates and specific progress recorded
  2. Description of local administration, national political representation and expectation/ responsibility
  3. Economic activities that sustain the people
  4. Volume and cash flow in the community economy, local banking and economic development
  5. Quantitative development, aspiration, trends and challenges
  6. Employment potential, the recent decade-long trend for youth and able residents
  7. Recreation facilities and activities for the population, and notably the aged
  8. Cultural centers, museums for preservation of history, and public library
  9. Water capacity, distribution, utility, and security
  10. Industry, power capacity, requirement, challenges, and near-future objectives and plan
  11. Ailment categories, health care status, available facility and hospital requirement
  12. Sanitary, and sewage management systems – objective, need, challenges and plan
  13. Agriculture, education, social welfare management – challenges and plan
  14. Census, demographic-, birth-, death records keeping, and cemetery maintenance system


In partnership with State, Federal Governments and private development partners, JTO Foundation will focus on promoting improvement of community.
